Professor Paul Jarrett

BADS has been informed of the sad news that Professor Paul Jarrett, a Past President of BADS and the IAAS and Editor of the Journal of Ambulatory Surgery, died on 22nd October 2019. Our condolences to his family.

Professor Paul Jarrett was a Professor of Day Surgery and Consultant Surgeon at Kingston Hospital and one of the founder members and the first Chairman of the British Association of Day Surgery (BADS) which was formed in April 1989 and held its first annual conference in June 1989.

An obituary is being written by Dr Tom Ogg, retired Consultant and another founder member of BADS and this will be published in JODS.
