Elizabeth O'Connell graduated from Hull York Medical School in 2019 and completed both her Foundation and Core Surgical Training in Merseyside. She is an incoming ST3 General Surgery trainee in the Mersey Deanery and is currently based at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. Elizabeth has a strong interest in medical education, quality improvement, and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred surgical care.
She serves as the Trainee Representative on the British Association of Day Surgery Council, advocating for trainee engagement in day surgery and supporting initiatives that promote innovation, efficiency, and excellence in perioperative care. Elizabeth is also a member of the Association of Surgeons in Training (ASiT) Executive Council, where she currently serves as Conference Coordinator.
