Jayne is a Matron at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with responsibility for two-day case areas: including the GIRFT-accredited Day Treatment Centre at the Freeman Hospital and the Dental Theatres Day Unit at Newcastle Dental Hospital.
As registered nurse for over 20 years, Jayne has spent much of her career working within perioperative services, including pain management. Over the past six years, she has held Matron roles across two NHS Trusts.
Jayne is passionate about improving patient access to timely treatment and advancing best practice across day surgery pathways. She is committed to creating positive practice environments for all staff.
Working alongside BADs, Jayne is keen to contribute her experience and enthusiasm to support the ongoing development of day surgery services.
