Lay Member Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person, who may have been a patient, health care professional, member of a patient group or a patient advocate to contribute to the work of Bads as one of two lay members of Council.  The role of the lay member is to ensure the views of patients and the wider public are represented in the activities of the organisation and may involve contribution to discussion, speaking at meetings, writing and contributing material for publication.  Attendance at council meetings, held five times a year in London and the 2 day Annual Scientific meeting is expected.  The role of lay member is voluntary and no allowance is paid for time spent but expenses supported by receipts are reimbursed.  If you are interested in finding out more about this role please contact bads@bads.co.uk
